1. Follow our systematic ways of coaching swimming

How you teach swimming is very important. If swimming is not taught correctly pupils can develop a phobia. Teachers have to understand the importance of not rushing their students as they do not want fears to develop.

2. Learn to hold breath under water

Tell your student that in swimming, we use our mouth to breath in and use our nose or nose & mouth to breath out by blowing bubbles.

So ask your student to take a deep breath and hold your breath as long as you can. If your student is scare then ask them to hold on to the wall first then slowly release the wall if they are more confident.

3. Push and Glide

After you can hold your breath for 20 s or more, then you will learn to Push and Glide towards the wall ( 5 m ).

4. Learning the Frog Kick

Now you can learn how to kick like a Frog. This consist of 3 steps > Bend - Kick - Close

5. Perform Frog Kick

Perform the Frog Kick - 3 easy steps > Bend Kick Close.

6. Combine Kicking & Breathing

Holding the swim board and do 1 kick and 1 breath.

7. Learning Arm Pulling

Pull a swim board between both your leg and do arm pulling.
